The pattern used now has changed very little from that first Bratsack sewn in 2005, though in 2007, I added a larger size for bigger kids. I am delighted to offer children special bags to stir their imaginations as well as to tote their favorite things. Bratsacks Babyware is proud to find creative ways to use even the smallest pieces of fabric - including new yardage, recycled clothing, and vintage finds - to do our part for the environment by minimizing waste.
- Bratsacks backpacks have a lid made up of two layers of topstitched corduroy.
- A resin snap (the same kind used on some brand of cloth diapers) closes the bag. (Picture 1)
- The drawstring cord is hidden between lining and bag. A sewn fabric slider helps hold it in place when drawn up. (Picture 2)
- Straps are sewn securely into the body of the bag. (Picture 3)
- An appliqued pocket for holding sippies or other little extras. (Picture 4)
